For MEXT Scholarship Applicants (Embassy Recommendation)

We accept international students who have passed the first screening for the MEXT Scholarship (Embassy Recommendation). Applicants who wish to join the Ohno Laboratory must first follow the official procedure specified by Tohoku University. Please do not contact the laboratory directly before completing this procedure.
Candidates should first contact the designated office at Tohoku University according to the instructions provided by the Japanese diplomatic mission in their country. After submitting the required documents and receiving further instructions from the university, applicants may then contact Prof. Kazunori Ohno (Ohno Laboratory) as their prospective academic supervisor.
The deadline for submitting a request for a Letter of Provisional Acceptance to the International Education Section is September 1. Applicants should make sure to complete the required procedure before this deadline.
After we receive the relevant information through the university and hear from the applicant, we will arrange an interview and determine whether we are able to accept the applicant into our laboratory.

大学院から大野/岡田研に配属を希望の学生の皆さん

大野研究室では、他大学や高等専門学校専攻科からの進学希望者を歓迎しています。タフなフィジカルAIの研究に取り組みたいという熱意があり、事前面談および大学院入学試験に合格した学生を広く受け入れています。
本研究室は、情報科学研究科および工学部機械知能・航空工学科に所属しています。大学院入学試験は原則として第三群で受験することになりますが、事前に申請することで第二群で受験することも可能です。
大学院進学後には、TA・RA制度や授業料免除制度などの経済的支援制度があります。また、博士課程への進学を希望する学生に対しては、早い段階から奨学金等の支援を受けられる制度も用意されています。
